Introduction

By setting up products you create default pricing, which is just the base product cost multiplied by store factors.

However there are a number of other factors which can affect the final cost of the product for a particular user

  • Promotions, which may be activated by promotion codes
  • Pricing rules, such as discounts for particular customers or customer segments
  • Shipping options, with a cost that can be calcuated based on the size and/or weight of each item and where its being shipped to
  • Tax, which might depend on where the item is being sold from or sold to
