Branches a pipeline by selecting which of several configured next steps to run, based on a value from the current row. Configured with a map of next steps keyed by a selector value: the selectorColumn or selectorAttribute property is used to read a value from the current row or from a pipeline attribute, and that value's string form is looked up against the keys of the next steps map to choose which branch runs. As currently implemented, the selector value is resolved but is not yet used to route execution to a branch.
