Links a points debit to the points credit it was taken from, so a spend can be traced back to the reward and points tag the points were originally issued under. A single debit is often reconciled against several credits, and a single credit is often drawn down by several debits, so there is one link row per credit and debit pair carrying the number of points taken from that credit. The links are what make per tag and per reward points reporting possible. A link is never created with zero points.
