Wraps another metric and only invokes it for requests that match a configured path and/or HTTP method, letting a general-purpose metric such as a status code or request count be scoped to a specific endpoint. A match can be on path prefix, path suffix, path substring, HTTP method, or a combination of these; when only a method is configured with no path constraints, matching the method alone is enough.
