Editing Content

Sometimes users need to be able to download files from your website, for example a PDF of an industry magazine, or a word document of meeting minutes. This can be done by adding buttons to web pages with links for users to download files.

1 In KEditor, click the + to add content within a container.

For a refresher on containers and components, view the tutorial here.

2 Find and select the Button component to add it to your page.

3 Open the settings for the button component, and set the button type to Link.

4 Scroll down in the button component settings to find the Link option, and click on the folder icon to select the link.

5 Select the Assets tab to add uploaded files to, or use existing files from, the asset manager.

6 Select an existing asset, or upload a new one by clicking the upload icon, then click OK.

7 Under Link target, select Download.

8 View the page with the downloadable resource.

If this was a blog page, click Preview to view the page.

9 Click on the relevant button to download the file you selected.
